Position and functions

The Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) is an agency under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE). It has the following functions: to research, propose and develop strategies and policies in the areas of MONRE’s mandate; to conduct scientific and technological researches and provide consultancy services, training courses on natural resource management and environmental protection in accordance with the Law.
The Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment is a legal entity, has its own seal and bank account; has its regular activities guaranteed by the State budget as a research agency on strategies and policies, and has its headquarter in Ha Noi.
