Formulating policies to promote environmental economics in Vietnam

Objectives :
- To provide a theoretical and practical basis, set goals and propose a policy framework to promote environmental economics for the period 2011 – 2020 which includes development orientation, creating a favorable legal environment and promoting the supported role of the state to develop environmental economics in Vietnam.
Major contents:
- To research a theoretical basis of developing environmental economics in the context of globalization and international economic integration;
- To investigate, survey and estimate the conditions, elements of formulation and development , and current developing situation of environmental economics in Vietnam.
- To research the experiences of other countries and draw lessons for Vietnam in the development of environmental economics.
- To research, analyze, identify the opportunities and challenges, set goals and recommend an overall policy framework for promoting the environmental economics for the period 2011-2020. .
Products:
- A report on the theoretical basis of expanding environmental economics in the context of globalization and international economic integration.
- A investigation and survey report on the conditions, elements of formulation and development, and current developing situation of environmental economics in Vietnam.
- A draft policy framework for promoting environmental economics for the period 2011 – 2020 submitted to Prime Minister.
