Investigate, evaluate, and establish clean air policy and legal framework in Vietnam

Objective of the study:
Establish policy and legal framework on management and protection of air quality in Vietnam to improve national life standards.
Target and scope of the study:
- Target: Policy and legal documents related to the protection of air quality and implementation of air quality regulations in Vietnam.
- Scope: Survey and assessment of air quality practices in Vietnam on a national scale, done in 03 years (2013-2015).
Method of study:
Apply a variety of methods, combining policy analysis with practical investigation, statistics, surveys, analysis of secondary data, and some other research methods.
Research content:
- Study rationale and experience of other countries, drawing lessons for Vietnam on the management and protection of air quality;
- Investigate, evaluate, and analyze the situation of the management and protection of air quality in Vietnam; identifying gaps and requirements for improvement of policies and legislation on clean air in Vietnam;
- Propose policy and legal framework for the management and protection of air quality to meet the practical requirements.
Result:
The project is coming to the closing phase, preparing procedures for acceptance in 2016.
