Objective:
Provide theoretical and practical basis, establish regulations on recycling of solid waste in the Environmental Protection Law (as amended) and detailed guidelines.
Target and scope of the study:
- Target: Issues related to solid waste recycling, including the rationale, the status of solid waste recycling, international experiences, the law and the state management of solid waste recycling in Vietnam.
- Scope: To perform on a national scale, including the sectors and localities, in 03 years (2012-2014).
Method of study:
Apply a variety of methods, combining policy analysis with practical investigation, statistics, surveys, analysis of secondary data, and some other research methods.
Research content:
• Related theories and international experiences of solid waste recycling and management of solid waste recycling;
• Overview of solid waste generation, the current status of solid waste recycling, recycling technology of solid waste, recycled products and market for recycled products;
• Status of legislation and state management for recycling solid waste in Vietnam;
• Develop regulations on solid waste recycling in the Environmental Protection Law (as amended) and detailed guidelines for solid waste recycling;
Result:
The project is coming to the closing phase, preparing procedures for acceptance in 2016.
