Consultation Workshop on the National Ecosystem Assessment Report

On 9 November, in Hanoi, the Consultation Workshop on National Ecosystem Assessment Report was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany. The consultation workshop is under the Capacity Building Project to address the links between science and policy in four countries: Cameroon, Colombia, Ethiopia and Vietnam through the United Nations Environment Program - World Conservation Monitoring Center (UNEP-WCMC) from 2017-2020. Associate Professor Nguyen The Chinh - Director General of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment co-chaired the workshop.

The National Ecosystem Service Assessment Report is one of four major outputs of the project. The draft report was prepared by the National Consultative Group. For extensive consultating on the content of the draft report, Biodiversity Conservation Center in collaboration with the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment and other partners held the workshop which aims to collect new ideas and ispiration to complete the content of thematic reports, contribute suggestions and orientation for policy makers on ecosystem services.
