Workshop on Strengthening the Legislative Framework of the Natural Resources and Environment Sector in accordance with the process of International Economic Integration

Hanoi, April 26, 2016 – The Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) co-organized the workshop ‘’ Strengthening the Legislative Framework of the Natural Resources and Environment Sector in accordance with the process of International Economic Integration ‘’ with Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) at Fortuna Hotel. The workshop drew attention and attracted a number of participants, including representatives of each department, universities, institutes and experts.

Director of ISPONRE gave opening remarks to all participants

Over the past few years, Vietnam has significantly improved its relations with all countries in the world, including the major powers. It has signed numerous agreements and is a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), recently the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). However, despite international economic integration, the country also faces difficulties in accelerating development process, especially in the field of natural resources and environmental management.

Feedback from experts

The workshop was organized to discuss about global trends in resources and environmental management, environmental regulations for economic integration process and policy analysis in Vietnam. Thanks to it, there will be more solutions coming up to reinforce the legislative framework of environment in Vietnam.
