Youth Union of ISPONRE hosts a seminar on Climate Finance

 Hanoi, April 15, 2016- The Youth Union of ISPONRE hosted a seminar on Friday as part of their efforts to provide opportunities for employees’ personal development and academic achievement. The seminar, geared towards climate finance, focused on the discussion of financial resources from public, private and alternative sectors that are essential for developing countries to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change. According to some recent statistics, Asia-Pacific region contributes approximately 42,8 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions in 2010 and is projected to emit more at annual rates of 2 percent by 2035.

Towards the end of the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Trung Thang avered that ISPONRE employees should be more active and flexible in selecting information accordingly after attending several international seminars. Also, ‘’it is important to organize more seminars similar to this one in every month’’, Director Nguyen The Chinh said.
